Week 12

Week 12 The final week

Hello all,

This is the final week of the module . I would like to reflect two key perspectives via a SWOT analysis. The first is the reflection in students' perspective on what I have learned from the module. The design of the module will be discussed in the second part as following.

SWAT analysis

SWOT analysis
     The learner
            Module
Strengths
            💧  Never give up
These is what I have identified myself that is the key success to push me achieving my goals.
💧 Good organized in the series of the syllabus which start from easy following topic to the difficult topics.
-         💧  The course is flexible. It can be tailored to different needs.

Weakness
💧    Poor in math and statistics
💧   Want to be a perfectionist
     💧 Cannot manage time
    💧 No consistent personality
I have a lot of limitations in the study in this module. I was nearly getting lost in this module because I don’t understand in math. I have been spending lots of time to read materials, yet I cannot write up even a sentence almost five weeks. However, my strengths exceed my weaknesses. Lastly, I can finish writing blog assignment; I am so pound on myself.
💧 Students missed the chance to discuss face to face with friends or the module leader. These problem affects students more spending time on the screen whether misdirection to achieve the learning purposes.
-        💧 According the course design, it requires self-discipline to deal with the assignment. These makes  me sometimes lacking of control myself to be consistent to finish the tasks.

💦NB. I would like to state my opinion that I prefer to watch live concert to watching any record at home.
By this it means that it would be better if this module is available in classes.
Opportunities
I have learned that there are several factors influencing my motivation to finish the assignments such as the supports from friends, skill team, mercy myself.
💦Not only the requirement of the core topics, but this module provide the wonderful side tract practicing such as a blog writing. At the first time I think it make my life fussy, but eventually, I found that it is a clever strategy to make me write a diary which is a brilliant evidence not only to remind me what I have learnt in the module, but also to contribute the knowledge to others. I hope that someday when I go back to read my knowledge in Math and Statistics, I will have a big smile to myself. In addition, I am trying to use this technique to reflect  every thing that I have learned by writing up into my diary because I believe that things that I wrote would be a baseline of my PhD way. I will see huge difference in my knowledge during my journey.
💦  I have learnt to pin my position by bench-marking with colleagues who study in this module. I have learnt your ideas and different point of views through your reflection in your blogs each week.... and thank you all of you for this.
💦 The reflection can widely open my eyes via the suggestion of further reading list by other learners. These make me feel excited in new sources of scholar data which are not limited just in the quantitative research.
Threats
💦This learning style leads to the learners to be a “solo” act, and because of non- update feedback from the module leader leading to some mistakes during the learning processes and might affect to the quality of the module.
💦I missed the opportunity to learn study culture in classes as an international student regards to the module design.
-        It is easily to loss of module attainment because of disconnection between teachers and learners.

Lastly, I hope that my reflection would be beneficial for you all. I would like to thank all of you to be a part of my journey, and wish you all have fun on your way.

Best wishes
